It's so hard for me to decide what are fair reasonable prices for me to charge for my photography services. For 2007, I've reevaluated my pricing to fairly compensate myself for the time spent with consultation, photographing, post production editing, ordering and preparing final product for delivering. I think I've simplified it a little for you, black and whites are now the same price as color prints. So here goes......
4 wallets $6
5x7 and smaller $9
8x10 $14.50 w/matboard $19
11x14 w/matboard $48
16x20 w/matboard $88
Creation fee for families of 5 or less is $40, which includes online proofing. If you prefer printed proofs, creation fee is $60 with a $100 deposit for print credit. Creation fees are due at time of booking I ask that you place a $100 minimum order.
When you call to schedule and appointment, we will discuss location, best time for photographing, and clothing options. After we have our appointment, I will have your portraits available for online viewing within 2 weeks. Once you place your order, you can expect it to be ready within 2 weeks. (I say 2 weeks on this, but most of you have found that I work faster, I just would rather not promise it)
These prices are effective 1/1/07, subject to change.

Meet Kristin and Carol. They are getting married in April. I went to school with Carol in middle school (long, long time ago!) and Kristin and I graduated from the same school several years apart. We had a fun time doing their engagement pics at Madalay Canal in Las Colinas. Aren't they such a great looking couple??

New Learning Opportunity
Since I began seriously considering starting a photography business, I have been told by several different photographers to try to attend the Texas School of Photography and to do what ever I could to take Doug Box's class. On January 3rd, regsitration started for this year's Texas School at Midnght. Well, since I REALLY wanted to get into his class, I decided to set my alarm for 11:45 ( I had to go to bed because I was working the next day) and get online so that I could send in my registration as soon as it turned midnight. I hit enter at about 2 seconds after midnight. So yesterday I got my letter from Texas School and I DID get in his class. YEAH!!!!! I can't wait! I'll be there from April 22nd-April 27th. So get ready, I plan on learning lots of cool things to apply to my practice!. Check out Doug's site, www.dougbox.com.

Time to Play!

The snow stopped on Saturday and boy did the kids have a blast! My brother even hooked their snow tube up to the 4wheeler and pulled them around the snow. (The tube did not survive though). Look at how pretty the sky is once the sun comes out after a beautiful snow. After that much snow, we spent a lot of the day shoveling and digging out.

Another Christmas Card

Amy, here's your card. Hope you like it, because it's midnight and I'm FINISHED for the night. Just kidding, you know I'll do whatever you want! Doesn't Amy have a good lookin' family? Reed looks so much like Gracie and his dad too. He's one of those sweet babies that just rolls up in a ball on your chest. Don't you just love that???

Inspiration
This is going to be a post that is not so interesting to look at because no pictures will be attached. I just have been thinking about my life a lot lately and feel like I should reflect a little bit on my thoughts. Most people that know me already know that I like to always have my hands in the middle of something "creative", whether it be making candles with my mom, making jewelry, sewing, crafting, etc. Never has anything excited me like photography. I
have truly caught hold of the creative part of my being. I am not someone that can say that I have had an interest in photography since I was a kid. I didn't. It was not until I had Haley that I really ever understood the importance of capturing moments that will soon only be your memories. I would spend money that we didn't have just so I could get her picture made more often than I really even needed to and eventually scoped out photographers that cost me way more money that I should have spent. But, I can say that my children will never have to wonder why their mother didn't have their picture made very often. I've never taken for granted the fact that my kids will not be little forever. But in print I will always have a hold onto the memories of their sweet faces , sometimes with cheesy grins or pouty lips. I have never regreted the choice that I made when deciding to become a nurse. It has been a great career and I will never abandon it. I think it has been my nursing experience that has really deepened my appreciation for life and good health. Lately I really feel so fortunate to have both of those. I am so thankful for my wonderful family. My mom has always been supportive of everything I do. I am so blessed to have the inspiration from my three kids, Haley, Carson, and Keller. My friends play such a big part in my life. Amy, Bria, and Laurie- thanks so much for always giving me your support and encouragement. I have many nursing friends that keep my job at the hospital so enjoyable, somedays it's more fun to be at work than at home. I hope that doesn't sound bad, but I know that any mother of three would agree. All of you that are so supportive, I can't thank you enough. Look for me to continue to have fun learning all I can about photography. Thanks to all of you that read my blog over and over and for telling all of your friends about me. I really appreciate you all!!

About Me
- Carri Neu
- I am a daughter to two great parents, a sister to two crazy brothers, a wife, and a mother to Haley, Carson, and Keller. I have been a nurse for 12 years. I love nursing, but since having my children, I have come to realize that there is nothing better than capturing them in photos.
