It's Snowing!!!

It started snowing on Thursday morning. It snowed hard until Saturday. They were saying on the news that it would be a good amount of snow, but not this much. It's not often that Texans see this kind of snow!

Crested Butte

On Wednesday the 27th, we (my family) and my uncle Michael and his girls Leah and Sarah and my Pepaw went to Crested Butte, Colorado to take the kids to the sled hill and outdoor ice rink. It was a 2 hour drive down there and back, but it was worth the trip. The kids had a great time!!!

Colorado Christmas

We have been in Colorado at my parents' house for Christmas since December 22. We had to leave a day late due to the snowstorms that caused road closings all over. Here's a look at the way it looked when we got here....

Another Christmas Card

Amy, here's your card. Hope you like it, because it's midnight and I'm FINISHED for the night. Just kidding, you know I'll do whatever you want! Doesn't Amy have a good lookin' family? Reed looks so much like Gracie and his dad too. He's one of those sweet babies that just rolls up in a ball on your chest. Don't you just love that???

Baby Moore

Meet Baby Moore. He is the cutest little thing. He smiled so cute for me, just in time to get the shot. Little babies are so sweet!!!

Inspiration

This is going to be a post that is not so interesting to look at because no pictures will be attached. I just have been thinking about my life a lot lately and feel like I should reflect a little bit on my thoughts. Most people that know me already know that I like to always have my hands in the middle of something "creative", whether it be making candles with my mom, making jewelry, sewing, crafting, etc. Never has anything excited me like photography. I
have truly caught hold of the creative part of my being. I am not someone that can say that I have had an interest in photography since I was a kid. I didn't. It was not until I had Haley that I really ever understood the importance of capturing moments that will soon only be your memories. I would spend money that we didn't have just so I could get her picture made more often than I really even needed to and eventually scoped out photographers that cost me way more money that I should have spent. But, I can say that my children will never have to wonder why their mother didn't have their picture made very often. I've never taken for granted the fact that my kids will not be little forever. But in print I will always have a hold onto the memories of their sweet faces , sometimes with cheesy grins or pouty lips. I have never regreted the choice that I made when deciding to become a nurse. It has been a great career and I will never abandon it. I think it has been my nursing experience that has really deepened my appreciation for life and good health. Lately I really feel so fortunate to have both of those. I am so thankful for my wonderful family. My mom has always been supportive of everything I do. I am so blessed to have the inspiration from my three kids, Haley, Carson, and Keller. My friends play such a big part in my life. Amy, Bria, and Laurie- thanks so much for always giving me your support and encouragement. I have many nursing friends that keep my job at the hospital so enjoyable, somedays it's more fun to be at work than at home. I hope that doesn't sound bad, but I know that any mother of three would agree. All of you that are so supportive, I can't thank you enough. Look for me to continue to have fun learning all I can about photography. Thanks to all of you that read my blog over and over and for telling all of your friends about me. I really appreciate you all!!

About Me

I am a daughter to two great parents, a sister to two crazy brothers, a wife, and a mother to Haley, Carson, and Keller. I have been a nurse for 12 years. I love nursing, but since having my children, I have come to realize that there is nothing better than capturing them in photos.
